!)I will get the one with the least amount of harmful radiation. And also, 2)I will be using it for surfing the net for more than 10 hours per day. I've never used a laptop before and I hear that laptop tends to overheat after a couple of hours. Is it true?

I really don't know where this radiation rumor started, I assume somewhere on the internet, but it is an absolute load of garbage. Old CRT monitors did put out radiation, an amount that was completely and totally negligible. Radiation is NOT a concern when buying a computer, PERIOD.

Some laptops do get hot after a while. The only reason you would want a laptop is if you need your computer to be mobile, that is it. In every other aspect, a desktop is the clear choice.

If you are talking about radiation from a CRT monitor get a laptop which uses an LCD screen and does not have that style monitor.

Even on a desktop the amount of radiation is less than from a TV which is negligible.

Laptops do not tend to overheat. They usually have internal fans that come on when they are getting warm.

Of all the scary things in the world, laptops should be near the end of the list.

Get a desktop. After 5 hours you start to get burnt with a laptop. But if you just put a metal surface under the laptop that will help keep the laptop cool. Your choice.
