Extensive searching for reviews on the web have been frustrated by the endless commercialism at tech sites. Even CNET gives ony three sentence "reviews." Rediculous!!! The internet as such is one vast strip mall. Please, if you know about edge tech ram let me know your experience with it. TY.

I want to use the "SmackBook" or the dual screen on Macicntosh Laptops. My questions is will this cause a malfunction with the built in sensor in the HDD? Also, when I carry my Mac will it continously switch screens? since I will be consisntenly moving?

I have a Dell Axim X3 that I've basically never used. Until recently it has been in storage. It gives me a message that my backup battery has failed. I called Dell and they said I would have to replace the whole unit. Hopefully, someone out there can tell me how to fix this problem without replacing the whole unit.

Hello all,
I am considering purchasing a processor upgrade for my HP Pavilion
ze2401xt notebook PC. After a nice chat with an HP online technician
and acquiring a copy of the service manual for my ze2000 series HP
Pavilion, I have found that I can upgrade the processor that came with
my HP from the current AMD Mobile Sempron 3000+ (1.8Ghz, L1 Cache
64K+64K, L2 Cache 128K, 1.400v, 62w TDP) to an AMD Turion 64 Mobile
MT37 (2.0Ghz, L1 Cache 64K+64K, L2 Cache 1MB, 1.200v, 25w TDP).
My question is, would the performance gains of the upgrade be worth the
$209 that the MT37 costs?
Also, I have been reading that since the MT37's TDP is 25w vs the
Sempron's 62w that overall notebook should run cooler with the MT37.
Has anyone out there experienced this firsthand?

Any opinions, insight or personal experiences in this area would be
very much appreciated and looked forward to.

Thank you

Some people like the touch pad better than the track point. This is of course assuming a mouse isn't available to be used. What do you like better? Track point or touch pad?

I understand the legacy support, but does anyone have any actual usage metrics or manufacturing/business reasons to justify this?

My labtop whenever I turn it on the screen acts normaly and then quickly becomes very dim to the point I can barly see what is going on.

I tried to work with the settings but it dose not seem to affect it. The only thing that works is turning it off and on and swiching between battery and AC power.

this though is starting to piss me off. Is their any fix to this problem short of sending it back to the company? (PS is a Dell inspiron 1300)

I have an old Compaq Presario bought in (2001), 1.5mhz, 384mb, 60GB. It's served me well considering all the software, graphic and music files I have on it. Recently its been giving me warning signs that it's going to die on me any day. I have everything on this desktop from AutoCad to Photoshop. I also have a laptop, a Sony Vaio VGN-A190 desktop replacement that I purchased in 2004 and rarely use. I was thinking about purchasing a large external drive (500GB at least) for the laptop instead of a buying a new desktop. Or should I just purchase a new desktop? Anybody have any advice?
