Defragment your computer. Windows stores files in parts on your hardrive, and when Windows goes to read the files, the more places on the drive it is, the longer it takes to load the file. If there are a lot of files like that, then your computer will run slow. Defragmenting causes Windows to put the files together on the drive so it can read files and programs faster.

To do this:

Click "Start". Click "All Programs". Click "Accessories". Click "System Tools". Click "Disk Defragmenter". Select the hardrive that your Windows system is loaded on (most likely the C: drive). Click "Defragment".

you can try by upgradin to a HDD with faster RPM, fist check if the motherboard supports a SATA interface as the hdd supplied uses ATA, if there's no such interface, then u can get a hdd with an ata interface like the Seagate Momentus 7200.1-ATA100,
hopefully this should increase ur speed, if it doesn't try getting a 3rd part defragmenter such as Steriods, as the windows defragmenter is totally useless!!
aniways, since its a celeron processor ther's bound to be a performance decrease, btw..the RAM which you upgraded, what speed is it? and is it DDR1 or DDR2??, if you need more help email me at richeek.amd@gmail.com
