i have a hp dv5000 series notebook with a much more basic setup. mine only came with a 3300 sempron, 60 gig hard drive, 512 mb of ram. the 15.4 brightview display and graphics card is the same. i paid $550.
the display is beautiful and the built-in wireless works great. it does get a little warm, but the turion processor that comes with the 5140 runs a little cooler. sound is good for music, but i've found that it is somewhat low for dvd playback. as far as games go, my wife plays a lot of sims 2 and that runs flawlessly. overall, i really like it for what i paid.
