Try sticking the laptop in one those large Rubbermaid containers, place inside a couple of ant traps, seal it. Without another source of food the ants should go for the poison. After a few weeks the ants should be dead. You are now stuck with new problem, trying to get dead ants out of your laptop. Don't' shake it! Let me know how this works out.

Hmm, I wouldn't spray it with anything , I would probably just put it in a wide open area somewhere where I could watch it. Then I would apply some sugar to a large strip of duct tape or fly paper on the floor near the Laptop but not too close. Then the ants will go to get the sugar off the duct tape or fly paper and get stuck on it, you might have to refresh the duct tape a few times but eventually you'll get rid of all of them. An alternative plan is to put some sugar on the floor near the laptop and sit there with something to squash the ants. Or you could try picking them up with a vacuum cleaner. And then take your laptop to a PC repair center and have it professionally cleaned.
Then as someone else has already said, stop eating over your laptop!!!

No no ant spray.... Take your laptop outside, and dust it off with a feather duster...Who knows what the ant spray will do to it?

how did you get red ants all over it?

I suggest dusting off because ant spray might have chemicals in it that could mess with your laptop's keyboard and screen.

get a LARGE rubbermaid container and a FOGGER like RAID MAX INDOOR FOGGER. Put the laptop inside the containerallong with the fogger. set the fogger off and close the lid. This will kill the ants. This will also minimize the damage to your computer.

What the hell??? Was is outside??? A good way to get rid of ants is black pepper...now if you want to put that all over your computer, that's cool, but you should make sure you vacuum it out ASAP!

you turn it on and spray near it (not on it) an anti-ants spray. The ventilation will take it in and they will run away
