Some people like the touch pad better than the track point. This is of course assuming a mouse isn't available to be used. What do you like better? Track point or touch pad?

Track point

For a long time, I had a laptop with no touch pad and only a Track Point. As a result, I became very adept at using it.

Now I have a laptop with a touch pad and a track point. I also now have a mouse and, of course, I prefer the freedom of a mouse to the Track Point. However, if I don't have a mouse, I would still prefer the Track Point to the Touch Pad. There's something just so awkward with the Touch Pad for me. Maybe I just need experience with it.

I like using the touch pad, I can't stand the track point! It drives me crazy and is hard to control.

I like the touch pad better only if it has the "tap to click" feature.

I like my touchpad. I would actually rather use it on my laptop than a USB mouse.

No trackpoint is useless. The only thing I have found it to be good for is getting in the way.
