If you mean the iMacs, yes. If you mean the MacBook or MacBook Pro then it depends. You see, the MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops have problems with overheating for two reasons, one, the thermal paste was applied in correctly or two, they left the protective plastic around the vents and forgot to remove it (and the owner didn't bother to check). However both the MacBook and MacBook Pro beat the predecessors in nearly every single benchmark (run on Windows). Let's try not to get into the G4/G5 vs. Intel debate, okay? The problem with the MacBook besides the overheating is because it does not have a dedicated graphics card so it falters on heavy duty video editing and gaming so it is not good for those tasks. But other than that they are solid laptops. I'd wait a year for them to sort out some issues before purchasing one.

MAC's have always been great. But most of the softwares are developed for Windows. And they also lack in 'value-for-money'.

Now, MAC's will be having Intel processors.

it is actually true that many apps are developed for windopws, but now that u hav got bootcamp, u can run win xp in apple based systems and apple is typically free of viruses.
the main reason is that virus develop[ers want their creation to be famous..So they develop viruses for Windows Os and not for Mac
