I just saw Compusa offering a good deal on HP Pavilion dv6426us. It costs 649.99 after 200 mail-in rebate. It only has a core duo processor. I wonder how is the core 2 duo better than core duo? Sincerely

just got my pc back from the pc stor and now ever since i cant seem to get the speakers working,he told me there is a sound card in it,just to goto msi.com.tw and install the drivers,which i did and still nothing,on the device manger is says they are workin properly,so can anyone tell me as to why the sound isnt working,i also tryed windows update,a friend told me,but still no good,and a dout its the speakers cause its a new monitor wit the intergrated speakers,iv also tryed other speakers,just hope someone might know what im doing wrong,thanks to all,

im thinking of upgrading from my 7600 to something in the 8 series...i don't know much about computers all i know is i need something better lol..or should i wait till Christmas time and buy one from the 9 series when they come out?

hi can someone please help me out on this,last week i got my pc wiped out and back to first day and it was great,good and fast,then few days later i got broadband, installed norton and jst ever since then it has slowed down so much,so then i took it into a pc store,upgraded the memory from 256mb to 2.25gb hopein it would make a big diffrence,but i have to say i dont think it changed a thing,the memory that was instaled was ddr1,i know thats the old memory so is that why its still slow?or could it be something else or is the pc jst too old and i jst wasted $250 on it?i really hope someone can help me out with this because i realy dont know what else i can do,thanking you all very much......

I bought a Seagate 320 Gig free agent desktop external HD. It works great but as soon as I hook up my 80 GIG IPOD video the seagate stops responding. I've updated all USB drivers and chipset driver. Also changed drive letter to "Q", out of range of my ipod's "H". They both work fine appart, but as soon as I hook them up toghetter the seagate gives up. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The first light will not stop blinking orange.

First, my keyboard went mad, half the keys stopped working. Then, when i would turn it on, it would say something about the floppy drive not working. Then one day it just wouldn't turn on. The fan doesnt even start. Someone suggested replacing the power supply. Is this common with eMachines?

i have a new computer and it has,for the most part,been working just fine.The other day i turned on my computer and my keyboard wasn't working.I've checked to see if it was plugged in properly and it was.I checked the status of the keyboard and it stated it was in working condition.I'm some what confused ,please help!

hey guys, need your advice. my pink vaio comes with optical mouse but it won't install.

i bought the pc 10 months ago and due to my old pc which was still on its last legs i did not start using iot until may. then i realised that the hard drive was 80gb. when it actuallly should have been 200gb. i emailed the company and this is the reply they gave ;

If these machines do have 80Gb drives in them then all I can do is apologise at this time for the mistake. As these PCs were bought 10months ago it is not something we can swap for you.

If this mistake had been reported within 28ays of purchase then obviously you would have been covered by statutory rights, but please understand that after this length of time we cannot just swap components reported as incorrect.

We will help you out with any other issues as per your warranty''.

Ok i am going to buy a dell inspiron 1520 soon and will be getting the 8400m gs with it. I was just curious if anyone has experience with the 8400m gs. I will be doing some gaming, but i already have a good desktop computer, that i will be using for most of my gaming. I just want to be able to play most games with a reasonable level of detail.

I've been keeping this EPSON C42 for a good 5 years, and now it's about time I get a new printer. Somehow I got attached to the old machine although it's the noisiest and slowest thing one can imagine (most likely why I luv it so much), and can't stand the idea of throwing it away. Of course, it can't become a TV or an aquarium, and it wouldn't be really usefull as a lamp either, but there's got to be something it can be turned into for use in the future...
