Up to 2Gb depending how big the files are and how the drive is formatted.
So, approximately 2Gb as a single file.
Or if it's in 4Mb chunks when formatted, about 512 files of any size under 4Mb... so if you put 512 files of size 1k on then it would be 'full' with half a meg of data.
The exact size depends on how you formatted it (fat 16/fat32/NTFS/extfs3/etc) and therefore what size space is allocated as and how many allocated bits of space there are.

it will only hold 2000mb
becasue the way the companys make them is by 1k=1000bytes,1mb=1 million bytes, and 1gb=a billion bytes.
when it is really like 1kb=1024bytes,1mb=1048576bytes, 1gb=1073741824bytes
this makes it so there is -7% of every hard drive
ex. 10gb reallys means 9.3 gb

If you are adding (the answer is 2 gig of course) divx movies=3,
if you want mp3s=1,000 - 3,000, if you want dvds=1/2.
The best way to check, is right click and then click "properties" on the item you want to add.

you must mean in songs or photos. it would help to know that and the size of the files, but if you knew all that you could figure it out for yourself.
2 Gigabyte (GB) = 2,048 Megabyte (MB)

well, to be technical, it could hold 2000mb so it would be a little less than 2gb.
