First, my keyboard went mad, half the keys stopped working. Then, when i would turn it on, it would say something about the floppy drive not working. Then one day it just wouldn't turn on. The fan doesnt even start. Someone suggested replacing the power supply. Is this common with eMachines?

Assuming you have the necessary power cord connected to a working power outlet, I would have to say that the power supply would be my first guess too. It's nothing unique to eMachines, just something that happens if you get a surge or the supply dies. Good news is they are cheap to replace.
