It's up to you- larger LCD screen means it's heavier, burns the battery faster, and might need a bigger bag/case. Also, it's more subject to breaking if it gets dropped (extra screen weight)
But things definitely look better on 17" screens, at least to me- if you don't travel with it much and primarily keep it plugged in, the larger size is a good thing.

The 17" is probably a wide screen and therefore you will usually get a slightly larger keybord aswell but if its for movies/music playing the larger screen is a definate asset ( thats why it is a wide screen for movies) but it will be heavier and the screen size is only a small part of the computer make sure the rest od the system meets your needs or you will be very sorry with either screen.

if the 17" screen is better for you than the 15" and it's practically the same price then the 17" is something I would recommend. However, the use of the laptop should be greater than the cost to be worth it.

You definitely should if size and weight is not an issue to you. A bigger screen means more space for you to manage your programs, and a bigger screen for watching movies.

If you travel at all, this could become very cumbersome to use on a plane. Not to mention the extra added weight. If you are using it at home, you should not have size issues (*enter comment here*)

17" laptops are the best, especially for watching music, playing games, and listening to music.

Yes - bigger is always better, especially if you intend to watch movies.
