Well, years ago (1993) I bought a computer and it was a DTK 386. Right now, the computer has Win 95 BUT, sometimes the screen will go red, and sometimes you can still see everything through the red screen. And sometimes you have to knock a few times for it to go back to normal. Why is this happening?

I have a Gateway AMD Turion 64 X2 15.4" Laptop and I have had some problems with the LCD screen. I bought it on december and until now, the screen has some burned pixels and yesterday, the windows logo was shaking when I turned it on. Have any of you had problems with gateway laptops? If I still have the waranty, do you recommend to do something about it...like, a possible return?

I bough 512 MB of RAM for my laptop. initially it had only 256 so I though that when i put them together it would be a good size. Unfortunaly they wouldn't work together. When both of them were in the computer used only one of them. are they not compatible or is there something else? what is the reason. actually can somebody give me a good explanation?

There is not a program running that I know of. But...the hard drive always sounds like it is busy with a program running.

I was installing a new game on my laptop !!! at the beginning of the installation it says the software fails to meet the minimum reqirements for the game !!! and it said "RAM IS LOW" !!!! and i was like "wtf???" becuz my laptop has 512 MB ram and the minimun ram requirement for this game is 512 MB aswell !!! so I checked in "system" in "control panel" and it said my RAM is 504 MB !!! i was really shocked !!! please someone explain !!! becuz as far as I new Rams only come in the form of 2 ^ n !!! for example 16,32,64,128,256,512,1024 !!! so why does it say my RAM is 504 MB ???? its just weird !!!

I have a 2 year old laptop (compaq presario) and I put it into hibernate. When I came back later to start the computer it began booting then half way through just restarted. It just keeps going in this cycle of rebooting and I can not get windows to boot! I tried safe mode, last known config and normal boot with the same problem. Please can you help! THANKS!

i have 1.5 GB hrddisk on my pentium 2 system. i would like to upgrade the win 98 into win xp.however the existing hard disc coud not provide the required space for win xp.i try to add an xp installed disk to it but it could not work.
can any one help me how to approch this situation?
