I the computer memory of now have a 1 G but seem not enough use so would like to ask a while is what software is eating a memory

First would be a virus, then the browser (esp. when many pages are open), Limewire, Norton, etc.

press alt+ctrl+del and check in process tab
here you can see all the processes and how much each takes
also you can press view -> select columns -> now mark the Mem Usage .
you will see the CPU usage and the memory usage of each program

each process is like a program...

Mostly the more memory eating programs are file sharing programs and games

also a lot of graphics and even the anti virus(Norton is a big memory sucker)

assuming this is a windows machine. go to task manager ( right click on your tool bar - task manager). click on the process tab - then sort by memory usage. Outlook is a hog and so is norton antivirus. but you could have a trojan or some crap software you use like lime wire etc.

Hit alt+ctrl+del then select task manager. Which should give a list of all running programs and how much memory they are using.
