I am looking for a 17" laptop for a good price. what site should i look at?

Opinion:
(1) Go to places like PC Mag, eopinions.com, and consumerreports.org (finagle a membership from a friend, if necessary); and (go to Google and find "laptop ratings"); find several models that strike your fancy; write'em down.
(2) Go to the manufacturer's website for each. Go through the process of "buying one online," complete with configuring it as wanted, memory size, disk size, wireless cards, etc. "Add to your cart." Find the total. X-out before purchasing.
(3) Go to Google, search for "Froogle", search for the best price you can get on that model of each one.
(4) Search around your very own home town for the very same best price. Compare.

i would say the best place would be eithr Best Buy or Costco. but it also depends on how much you are willing to pay.....Costco's laptops and computer have long battery life and they last for a minimum of 10 years and UP. Best Buy may not be the "best buy" for certain people but the laptops are sometimes costly. Seeing as my research says that their laptop "life" rages from 5-12 years Costco or Best Buy would be a great user savvy chocie for anyone.

First off, DO NOT buy the laptop right off the Internet! It is too risky, and you don't even get a chance to actually use it first. Best Buy, Comp USA are the best places to get a laptop, and Best Buy can transfer all your files from you PC to your new laptop. Hope this helps!

You should get a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092. It has a 17" monitor. You should get it from Yahoo! Shopping.

i got mine at circuit city and they are very reasonable, mine is a Toshiba 15.3 wide screen, i love it
