We know that Duo Core Processor is 2 Cores combined into one. Is it possible to combine 2 Duos and get twice that speed?

I'm purchasing a desktop computer in a month or so, but the websites are being very vague about explaining what terms mean or how they relate to the preformance of the computer.

What I need is a good desktop computer that can effectively browse the internet, process text, and run imaging programs, like photoshop and Macromedia Flash MX.
I don't play a lot of PC video games, so a super graphics card is not needed, just one that will support a fair amount of cartooning/image editing.
I also do a lot of web design, but all I use for that is notepad and Firefox, and those are not hard to run on the computer I have now (which is fairly low-end)
The most important aspects are that it runs well with image programs, microsoft office (no mac/linux-related suggestions, please), and various internet browsers.

I have a Dell Latitude D400 Laptop with Windows XP Pro. I'm not sure if this laptop has the optional Bluetooth feature built into it or not.

How do I find out if it has it? And further, if this unit does have the optional Bluetooth feature, how do I synchronize it with my bluetooth device / mobile phone???

I need to get a new laptop or desktop but I haven't decided yet which I should get. Right now I have a Sony Vaio laptop and there is a bigger chance of me not gonna get one from sony again because gives me too much problems. I don't know what I need to get. I heard Apple Mac is the best one but I am not familiar with it. I am not a gamer and most of the time I use my laptop for work and internet. What should I get then? any suggestions?

I am pretty sure it is, but just thought I'd get a little more input... It's an HP Nx9010 laptop, 2.4 ghz, Mobil Intel Pentium 4, used but in excellent condition, 80gig hard drive, cdrw/dvd rom, 512mb ram, ATI video card, 3 usb ports, 15inch display, built in wireless adapter, battery, power supply, has Windows XP Professional installed, and battery holds a good charge. ---->$350.00

I can't install the driver for my webcam. It's an A4tech model PK-635. the installation can't be completed coz it said that it can't find the necessary files on the provided. All the requirements for the webcam are OK. Any suggestions?

My comp is stuck on installing windows xp but it keeps giving me an error message and I can't get past it. I can't even get it to go to safe mode; i would like to wipe the hard drives (i have 2) and install the new version of vista that I just got and use the bigger hard drive in my new computer. Can anyone help me!?!?!? I am so frustrated I am going to throw the whole damn thing out the window!

But i wanted to know that do www.ebuyer.com automatically refund me back the money into my credit card again if i cancellled the order. I did get a email saying it takes 2-3 working days to refund back the money but they didnt need my credit card no. when i cancelled my order.

But mainly do they securely refund me back the money to my credit card automatically.
