We know that Duo Core Processor is 2 Cores combined into one. Is it possible to combine 2 Duos and get twice that speed?

Yes you can combine those into quad core; hence quad core chips;

What I believe your asking is do they make motherboards that you can put two; dualcore chips into. And the answer is yes aswell. These are 'Server' mainboards; and generally speaking are -not- cost effective to a home user; but I've seen motherboards that are capable of running 32, quad core intel cpu's for one box (128 cores total) however the price for the motherboard (nevermind the processors) is beyond outrageous.

So yes it is very possible, however unlikley in your budget.

That is basically what a quad-core processor is, yet we probably won't get twice the speed because many programs today aren't capable of using all 4 cores.

Yes you can, thats why theres a quad core, which is really 2 of the dual together.

yes, you can install as many processors as you want, your cpu just has to be configurated for it, always build your own computer , more fun and you get exactly what you want..........
