I have a Intel Pentium 4 CPU: 2.4 Ghz RAM: 1 Gb and lots of hard drive space. I looked at the supporting video cards at gamespy but I believe mine is newer than those.

i've got a canon imageclass MPC190S printer and recently, it's been having problems printing anything using black ink. more specifically, it prints blanks where anything black should be, eg, a text document becomes a blank piece of paper. colour works fine. the printer didn't send me any error messages.

i've tried everything suggested in the instruction manual - cleaning, deep cleaning, head alignment, changing cartridge. but didn't work. my printer's 3-4 years old.

any suggestions for fixing? or should i just start saving money to buy a new printer?

my pc is 1 year old it's a brand new hp compaq (cpu 3.4, ram 1gb upgraded to 2gb , vga 512 ) i used to play games without having any problems first i got it but after a few month about 8
whenever i'm playing a game it stops and restart but not all the games only such need 4 speed most wanted and call of duty ... what i've done i upgraded my ram to 2gb i opened the box and cleaned it all from inside it was very dusty i cleaned it very well the video card , cpu everything after all that i tried to play the games like while playing call of duty it's perfect but need for speed most wanted still stops and some other games such Medal of Honor Pacific Assault(tm) ... besides when i got this pc it was working perfect with all games

When i access the bios it shows my cd roms not intalled but i can hear them spin up and the lights go on on both of them the problem orgionated when some one tried to partition the hard drive by intalling to os on both portions of the partition the erro i get says no boot deive avail f1 to rboot f2 for utility

I just installed windows XP, i had previusly created a partition for a second OS anyway, it failed so i had to format and reinstall xp, however now, the primary HD only has 23 gigs, when it is a 120 gig HD what caused this? the xp installation formatted everything!!! HELP ME please!! im afraid this could be a serious issue!

When I connect camera, DVD writer or other portable device to USB 2.0 port of my PC, a message appeared " This USB device can perform faster if it is connected to HI Speed USB 2.0 port" . At the same time the device performs very slowly. Can anybody help me to solve this problem.

We have two users on our home desktop computer (both are set as administrators). For several years, we've always had separate wallpaper and screen resolution settings, but for some reason now any change one user makes happens on the other persons screen as well. This includes wallpaper, screen resolution and saved passwords for logging into VPN access. Any explanations/suggestions on how to fix this? It didn't use to be like this and is really annoying as one of us wants the screen resolution set to tiny lettering and the other wants it huge!

I re-installed my computer to it's original state when I first bought it. It uninstalled the video card as well so I went to
re-install it. When I re-install the video card though my screen will be normal for a few seconds, then when you move something of minimize something the spot where it was will be scrambled. Also my Start Menu is scrambled. I don't want to buy a new video card, and I keep re-installing it over and over but I get the same results. Can anyone help? If it helps to know I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6200.

I have a custom pc with a 3.33ghz cpu & 2gb ddr ram. I am trying to install an ITE 8212 raid controller. I have installed the raid utility and driver. The card is securely in a pci slot. When booting with just the controller installed but with no drives hooked to it I will get a screen that shows the raid utility and 4 open slots, so everything seems fine. But when I try to boot with the drives connected to the controller I get the following message:

Checking NVRAM....Update OK.

Windows NT has not found enough extended memory. 7mb of extended memory is required to run windows NT. You may need to upgrade your computer or run a configuration program provided by the manufacturer.

I have reseated the memory, blew out any dust that may have been there, put different memory sticks in the PC (it does the same thing no matter what ram is in the pc). Anyone have any ideas of what to try next? I have searched all over the net and not found any ideas.

We just bought a Samsung flat screen monitor and every image looks HORRIBLE and distorted. Pictures and text look grainy and images that were square in shape now look rectangular. We have tried ALL the basic things, including changing the resolution, which just makes the images too small or too large while the crappy quality remains the same. I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem or has any idea how to fix it. I thought that the LCD screen would have better quality image than our old monitor, but apparently not! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

i have a laptop and a desktop. I dont know much about internet so i cant really state my question accurately and i have no clue what to do. I want to share internet on both my laptop and desktop. But, when i go on vacations far away from home i want to be able to use the internet on my laptop. If its possible i would also like to have it back home too. But thats not the main goal. I dont really care if that cant happen. I just want internet on my laptop all the time. What do i need to buy and how can i have internet on both my lapyop and internet with my laptop being the main source or whatever it means to have it even when I'm away from home. Remember i want to share the internet. i dont want two seprerate internet connections.

I bought a Maxtor Personal Storage 3200 external hard drive, 200GB. My computer recognizes it on my desktop, but it won't let me put anything on it. When I try to drag a picture to the icon, a dialogue box comes up and says that the pic couldn't be added "because untitled cannot be modified." Please keep in mind that I do not know anything about computers and know even less about my Mac. I'm still trying to learn. Thanks in advance!
