I re-installed my computer to it's original state when I first bought it. It uninstalled the video card as well so I went to
re-install it. When I re-install the video card though my screen will be normal for a few seconds, then when you move something of minimize something the spot where it was will be scrambled. Also my Start Menu is scrambled. I don't want to buy a new video card, and I keep re-installing it over and over but I get the same results. Can anyone help? If it helps to know I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6200.

If you reset the video card then you most likly reset the drivers for the card. You need to go to Nvidia's website and download an updated driver. It's free to download.

It may be when you reset the computer you might have lost part of a program needed. Put the OS disc in and ask it to repair. Then re install the driver and program for the board. Make sure the board is compatible with the system or change the settings for compatibility.

If that does not fix it you may have something going on the card.

Nvidia recently changed the way you update, and I found that I get bad drivers for the wrong cards, if that makes any sense. Uninstall the current driver for your device, then restart. You should then be getting a basic screen, then use Microsoft update to find the driver you need and update; if that doesn't work, you have a bad card or monitor.

Did you download and install the latest Forceware drivers? That's the first place to start.
