Hello. i am currently trying to upgrade my PC to play HD-DVD's blu-ray ect...
however i cannot find a monitor for a pc that states HD... (if someone could find a HDTV pc monitor ide be very greatfull)
is this because they dont exsist or because all resonable spec monitors will play HD (given the right conections ect?)

my current monitor is a LCD 21'' widescreen with a standard VGA input. (believe its anloge).

i have also downloaded PowerDVDHD wich as a useful engine in it that lets you know what parts you need to view HD...

it states my monitor connection as analoge but with a green light next to it (red would be incompatible)

My laptop- a Toshiba Satellite, collects LOTS of dust when i keep it open and work on it. the room i use it in is air-conditioned, yet it collects dust. i want to know how i can get rid of the dust, or fnd a way to clean it well...

When I run www.systemrequirements.com it says that I pass all the requirements for playing new-gen games such as Battlefield 2142 etc. apart from the video card criteria. My video card is a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, which is crap, can I upgrade it with a aNVidea 7000 or something? thanx

okay so i think that my computer has a virus and im really paranoid that my computer is going to crash any second.... i need to backup all my videos, music and pictures and some programs that i have onto a cd.... i bought a CD-RW.... is that the right one to buy?? if you tell me its not im going to scream.... haha well yea im totally clueless on how to put stuff onto a cd..... do i just copy and past? i need to back up everything so that i can reboot my computer.

I've noticed this on many different TV sets, widescreen and regular, although it seems to get louder and deeper in pitch with a bigger TV. The noise occurs on first supplying power or coming up from standby, before the screen comes to life. They are just ordinary old-style non-flat CRTs, no difference between brands or prices.

Come to think of it, the ancient CRT monitors in the school computer lab do it too...

I have been a PC user for the last ten years and I know Windows in and out and am desperately looking for a change. I am very impressed with the reviews and user friendliness of the Mac. I am mainly looking at buying a laptop. Being a college engineering student, my work requires usage of a lot of programs like Matlab, Fluent for CFD and stuff like that. I am aware of the availability of emulators for running Windows software on Mac and now that Windows can run on a Mac, would you guys out there suggest me changing to a Mac?? Is it worth the cost?? Also, if I decide to take a Mac, should I buy it now or wait for the Leopard to come? There aren't any big changes that I can see other than a few frills here and there..
I'd really appreciate it if you guys could help me out.

My laptop has begun doing some weird things. When I'm playing music on my jukebox, the fan runs almost continuously. Is that normal? And when I'm playing a chess software game, or when I'm playing chess on Yahoo! Games, it'll shut-down. Why?

Over 50% of my hard drive is free, so I don't think I've got too much stuff on the computer. What do you think the problem is?

I have a LITEON external USB DVD burner model # SOHW-1673W.

Before today it had no problems. Nothing changed that I know of.
Now when I stick in a DVD+R or DVD-R the drive changes from DVD-RW drive (in My Computer) to CD-Drive and thinks they're CDs.
Happened on more than one computer too
just updated firmware and everything and that didnt work


Please think of suggestions other than firmware or drivers since I"ve tried that and I can't find the drivers for it either
