the monitor is blacking out every five seconds. does anyone kno how to fix this promblem. if u do please tell me how. dont email me though. and nothing that will make it worse than it is now. i'll be waiting! thanks!

My computer is messed up right now (im using a different one). I'm trying to install Windows 2000 because XP crashes all the time. But XP won't let me run the 2000 cd and it won't boot from the disk at start up.

why is my thumbdrive giving me this problem? when i try to delete/edit/overwrite a file on it, it gives me this error message saying that the disk is write-protected. what do i have to do to get it fixed pronto??????

I want to clean out my hardrive of programs that I do not use. I realized that there is alot of "stuff" on my computer and I do not know what it is or what it is used for. I do not want to remove anything that my mess up my laptop, is there a way I can find out what belongs on it and what does not???......or does anyone have any suggestions?

I am trying to run all of the cleaning options on my printer but none of them will work. Every time I try to run one, it says there is a paper jam. There is no paper in the printer! Its a new Canon Pixma iP6220D. Anyone have any ideas? the reason I am tryin to clean it is beacuse every time I try to print anything, it pulls the paper in lop sided and them says it is jammed. How to I make it pull the paper in straight?

Should I get a 20GB mac laptop, 30GB, or 40GB? I play a lot of computer games and do a lot of emailing and im. I do some word documents and powerpoints that i save to the computer. I am wondering if it is at all possible that the dvd burner works but the cd burner doesn't. I have a cd/dvd burner and it will not burn cd's at all. I am also considering of buying an external drive that burns cds & dvds for a decent prices. whats the best place?

my computer is making the "click" sound in regular intervals (about 1 every minute) that you hear when clicking your mouse on a link, or when you hit enter. I shutdown all programs, did a virus scan, cleaned with adaware, but it's still there. Anyone have suggestions?

I just purchased a brand new 120GB hard drive online. I installed it into my computer, and I booted from a Win98 startup disk. I ran FDISK and it couldn't create a partition. Then I tried to use Norton's DiskEditor and it said "Error reading drive..." Ok. So, I thought, that the disk needs lowlevel formatting. So, I used Maxtor's lowlevel format utility. I formatted the drive, and then I tried again. Same thing.

Then I started my computer in Windows XP, and clicked on Disk Management. It said one of my disks needs to be "Initialized" so I clicked Next... It did everything. Finally, it created a partition. In Windows XP, I formatted the drive using FAT32format utility which you can download from the internet, and then I copied some files on this new hard drive. Yay!
Now, I booted from a Win98 startup disk again, and FDISK can't see the partition on my new hard drive! I ran DiskEdit and it still can't read from the hard drive!!! I must access this hdd from Win98, and I can't do it.

Its taking forver to load and sound is distorted often. It can't do much anymore on it without having trouble. Spyware programs aren't picking up anything. CPU usage usually is running about 9% for whatever reason. I was loading an online game the other day and it took about 10 minutes but played fine. Even when I play a song on windows media player it started acting up. Any help please!
