I have Creative Labs now and have used Dell and Altec.

It hard to say which are the best 2.1 speakers without listening to every one yourself, everyone's ears are different. However, since that is near impossible, it makes sense to rely on other people's experiences. Personally I like to go to epinions.com to check out what others have to say. Realtek HD this is a very expensive system butit is also in high definition sound and uses more then 2 speakers it uses a 5.1 system (5 speakers 1 subwoofer) Or thge more expensive system 7.1 (7 speakers 1 subwoofer) this is what I use and it is the best of the best.
