I'd just make sure that they're plugged in to the right port on your computer. You may have accidentally plugged them into a microphone port or something like that. Then, I'd suggest that you make sure the volume on the actual speakers is turned up.

If all else fails, maybe restarting your computer or doing a System Restore may fix the problem.

Good luck!

Have you put it into the green socket in the back, alternatively most computers these days have a second on the front.

If you have, check your computers volume its the icon down with the time of a speaker if it has a little circle with a line through it its mute and then you have to click on it and deselect mute box. If the volume level is at the botttom change it to the top.

Sure your turning the right nob on the speakers its not a tone one? some have two nobs one for tone and one for volume.

Your sockets may be the wrong way round try swapping it round into the red socket.

Maybe, just maybe you need a driver for them, but this is very unlikely.
Your computer may not have a sound card in so you won't be able to get sound from the computer but the bleeping of keys when typing over five keys at once.

Worst scenario is that your speakers are faulty and need to be sent back to the shop or place you bought them from

If you have some headphones you can check to see if audio socket is working by plugging into same port.if not check the audio settings in control panel.
You could use the audio socket on radio to check if speakers are at fault too.
As a point to start from.
