After 2 years of deleting files and uninstalling programs, it would probably speed up your computer by running a registry clean-up tool. Here's one I use and it works great, plus it has alot of other tools. It is a fully functional free trial for 30 days:

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. CCleaner also fixes your registry. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware.

go to your control panel-add/remove programs. If you have drivers or things you need- like updates, leave them alone. But there are many programs that can be deleted.
My daughter bought a new HP laptop. It came loaded with games she could take off, and a few other programs she would never use. You can take off microsoft money, quicken, and other things like that.
Make sure to use your disc cleanup and defragmenter when you are done.

Samual is right..CCleaner is an excellent free program.you can use it to remove unwanted programs and other things.when you remove a program be sure to use it to check for issues as there are always a few traces of the old program remaining.
