my usb drive quit working..i tried to do the device mngr suggestion but in device mngr it doesnt let me choose

it just says types but only blinks when i try to choose and which one would i choose???

USBs are notorious for being annoying. You should have a few ports in your computer. Use another one. If it was a USB hub you are talking about, buy another one. They are very cheap.
Some devices do not work in a multiple port hub. Try pulling that one out of the hub and plug it directly to a free USB port.

All computers have at least 4 ports. Look for another one.
