There is a limit. Too much memory can slow a computer down. The limit depends on a lot of things, but primarily on how much and what kind of cache’ is installed. It does indeed take system resources to manage memory.

Yea... sadly...:D , but the limit has to do with motherboard, some support 4gb, 8gb or even 32 gb. But the the OS has its own limits. Windows 32 bit has about a 3.2 gb limit, whereas the 64 bit has.. i believe 32 gb limit. But Most windows are 32bit. So yes.. there is a limit.

ONLY up to the level that the motherboard supports. Anything more would be useless and just a waste of money.

some argue that if you purchess more memorie that what you need, then it is a waste of money....
personaly I feel that computers advance at such a rate, that even if you purchess more memory then your computer needs, within the life of that computer you will probobly eventuraly need it.
