Always better to Uninstall old drivers first and then install the new drivers. Take a look at the documentation that came with the card - It will likely tell you the same thing - Typically this is done through the control panel, add remove programs.

After you install the new drivers you may want to go to the Manufacturers web site and pull down the latest drivers for you board. The drivers on the CD could be months old and they may have updated drivers on their web site

unistalling old drivers is always recommended but if youre not sure how to, it shouldnt be that big a deal if the new card is the same brand, ie a higher series of the geforce family. then you can just update the old drivers.

when you get your new geforce card, you can just replace the old one with it and when you boot up the computer, it will install, and you then just load up the installation cd with all the drivers. your computer will automatically know that the old card has gone and theres a new one.

(you might have to install the software befor you put the card in, you'll have to check the installation instructions.)

Need to know the old card model and the new card model, as well as your operating system. On nvidia's website they now do distinguish between model number.
