Youre saying it was dusty which makes me think that theres not an adequate flow of cool air.
People are saying its your power supply, but Id actually look tosee if its not a cooling (or shoudl I say overheating problem)

If alot of dust is collecting you probably have it too close to the wall, or something is blocking the air flow somehow. It could be keeping the hot air from being blow out, thus causing your system to overheat during graphics intensive games. Does it shut down fully?

you can try the power supply fix they said, and if you keep getting the same occurences -- Id focus my attention on fans and or other cooling methods.

When you say restart do you mean the game or computer? If the computer does it's getting too hot or the power supply's going out. if the game restarts it's probably corrupt and all you need to do is uninstall it and then reinstall it that should do it.

Sounds like a faulty power supply to me. Power supply problems are often the weirdest types of problems and hardest to diagnose because it doesn't always mean the computer doesn't turn on - in fact most of the times, random restarts and freezes are very likely signs of a faulty power supply. I'd recommend going to Best Buy or CompUSA or something and purchasing a new power supply (making sure it has enough watts) and install it. My guess is that will solve your problem.

Click "Start" then "run" in the box type "msconfig" without the quotes. Click on the Startup tab. Uncheck everything except your antivirus and firewall. Reboot and enjoy a much faster computer.

if you have the basic stock video card that might be whats going on maybe you need to upgrade or look to see if the games support your video card.try cutting out the some of the non important background running processes.ctrl,alt,del.look it up to see which ones you dont need.if its choppy then try cutting down on your video settings in the game.

reinstall windows. It helps 100% of the time. I would say do a system restore but i'm sure you don't have a restore set for that far back.
