I started with 512Mb, that came with my HP pavillion slimline, Intel CPU 420 @ 106GHz, I just added another 512Mb. System properties show total RAM 960MB, shouldn't that be 1024? Windows media player 10 tells me I'm low on memory when I try to use it, and computer is slightly faster in some ways after the upgrade, but slower loading paging on line than it was before. What does it take??

I had 512 Mb when I bought my pc in Jan., I just added another 512 Mb board last week, system properties shows 960 Mb of RAM. Shouldn't that be a total of 1024Mb? 1G- I don't get it. Then tonight I go to use my media player, and it tells me I don't have enough. I run disk cleanup regularly, I used defrag a few days ago. Is there something else I can try? How much RAM does a person need??

i want to buy new LCD monitor. i have two options.
17" normal LCD or 19" wide screen LCD. now my question is will i get significant difference between those two. will worth buy 19" wide screen LCD ? if i will buy wide screen LCD i am afraid that all software will be stretched ?

I have a hp deskjet 1360 printer. I want to refill its cartridge but I can't know what is the colors order. I thought to be yellow, red blue from left to right as I recognized the holes colors, but after refilling all the colors are damaeged .. I want to clean the carterige then refill it again . Please help me. My cartridge number is 22 or C9352G

I've got a P4 2.5 Ghz with a 500 watt power supply, 1 GB RAM, and an ATI X1300 video card. I've taken a side panel off of the computer so that it won't overheat since the video card gets very hot, and have a fan blowing into the PC itself. If I don't have the fan blowing into the PC, it will crash several minutes into playing games such as Far Cry. Also when I was burning a DVD with the fan on, it still crashed. I'm getting quite frustrated about what is causing the crashes because I don't want to ruin my computer. Thanks!

i bought a laptop the day b4 yesterday....it has a really bad battery life...because of that, i've to use power from my home it means i've to plug in laptop battery charger....
so the problem is.... after my laptop is charged , i unplug the charger from laptop.....after that..the brightness of the screen gets very low...if i plug back in, it gets brighten again....
is this normal???
i kno my question is confusing...but i tried my best to explain it.

I was told by a technician that I couldn't play GTA San Andreas on my PC because my video card didn't meet the requirements, and I even have the Sims 2 on my PC which requires newer systems than those that were common when this game came out.

From what i've been able to access and read I don't see the problem, I've listed my specs and the minimum requirements for the game...what's wrong?

I REALLY REALLY want to play this game, I've waited anxiously for it in the mail for a LONG time!

It's a Asylum GeForce 5200FX 256MB AGP card.

The screen is black after I insert the card in the AGP slot and start the computer, but when I remove it and cut the computer back on, the screen is fine.
