If it is the same price, I would prefer that you buy the 19" wide screen. Video cards nowadays support wide screen, so you can change the resolution to convert to wide screen. Let's say you order the wide screen and you want to change the resolution of your computer, just follow these steps:

1) Right-click anywhere on your desktop.
2) A menu will come up where you clicked - click on Properties.
3) A window will pop up that says Display Properties at the top - go to the Settings tab.
4) When there, you will see a little slider on the left side of that window. You can adjust the resolution there.

Note: It is usually a good idea to go to the highest resolution possible, unless you can't really read the text on the screen. With a wide screen monitor, you will have some different resolutions available to you, which are for wide screen monitors. If you set a resolution and the screen looks too squished or stretched out, try another til you find a resolution you are happy with.

..And don't worry, messing with this or using the wide screen monitor will do nothing bad to the computer. :D

liquid crystal show could have a greater useful show from CRT because it has very small pixels that could regulate themselves to very almost any colour (relies upon on the image card or the processor pics in the event that they are able to assist that colour). yet they don't look to be tough and hard.A small bump can harm their pixels. yet CRT's are actually not.they are completely tough and hard and function an more desirable life expectancy than liquid crystal show's. although that's not stable in any respect because it consumes greater electrical energy, Have greater weight, Consumes greater room which isn't stable. they are additionally not stable for gaming and designing Use as they won't be able to assist intense resolutions while liquid crystal show's and LED's can.
