Apple sales from another website I would not trust. A new operating system is coming out for the new computer, and I believe a Blue Ray Drive for them as well is coming out. But unless you want a computer that is refurbished or been recycled I wouldn't trust future shop. Buy directly from apple or Mac Mall. I would recommend.

I wouldn't expect to see a major update to the imac any time soon. It's entirely possible they're gonna do a processor or memory update (it has been a while since they did that) but anything beyond that would surprise me.

A price drop wouldn't be out of the question either.

EDIT: I stand corrected, it would seem they HAVE recently dropped the price.

Hello scott_h_313,

Your guess is as good as mine. Normally Apple waits till their existing inventory is just about used up before releasing their newest version. There will be slight price drops or rebates, but not always. Keep checking the Macintosh rumor and news sites:

If you can't wait and would like to get a good deal on Macs. You could try your luck with a refurbished Mac with a full warranty. Check those out here:

Best of luck to you.

A new iMac will probably ship around summer...it will probably be announced around the time that the next version of OS X, Leopard, is announced...
