I don't see an S-Video slot on my computer, so ideas besides that and buying a new video card.

when I run dxdiag it says under the Display tab I have "Intel® 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller" and that it's Plug-and-Play.

Hi. From the web: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intel845g/sb/cs-009072.htm?iid=graphics+845main&
You will need a VGA to (your TV) adapter.

well thats a intergrated video controller. meaning you dont have a actual video "card" it's built into the motherboard itself.

You'll need to check that you have a AGP or PCI-e slot for adding a video card in. even then beware of the power requirements of higher end video cards.

but i'll give you a let down right now.

with standard def televisions. the text is blurry no matter what you do

upgrade to HDTV

the only option you have besides getting a card with tv-out is getting a scan converter. this would convert your vga output to svideo or composite.

TV turner card on your PC. Quality will depend on PC specs and the turner card.

you would need an input on your tv for a vga cord although there are adapters you could buy.
