Yes it is, because you burned DVDs with it. You cannot do so without a DVD burner. How about some better info or details?

Make sure your burner's firmware is up to date. Go to the manufacturers website and download it. Did you change disc brands? Verbatim seems to be the industry standard...try one of those. If that doesn't work time for a new burner.
