I was told by a technician that I couldn't play GTA San Andreas on my PC because my video card didn't meet the requirements, and I even have the Sims 2 on my PC which requires newer systems than those that were common when this game came out.

From what i've been able to access and read I don't see the problem, I've listed my specs and the minimum requirements for the game...what's wrong?

I REALLY REALLY want to play this game, I've waited anxiously for it in the mail for a LONG time!

My system info:

Display Card name: Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller

Intel graphics cards are not the greatest when it comes to playing games. This card in particular does not support hardware T&L (transform and lighting) which causes more work for the processor or causes games which require hardware T&L to not work at all.

Even if the game runs on your computer it may not be the most pleasant of experiences. My vote is on a new graphics card. Perhaps you know someone who could lend you the game to try out on your current hardware?

every pc comes with a built in graphics card (as so it can be used on purchase) but they are very basic,so you do do need to go out and buy one.you dont give details of your graphics card in your specs is it display card? hmmmm.the mb on mine is 256mb so if you have 64 then its not going to get you anywhere.remember that your pc's memory is not always the memory on the graphics card which is what i think you are getting mixed up.they are totaly seperate.looks like you should listen to the techy, they dont just tell you things for the fun of it lol

i think you have a built in graphic card of 64 MB you didn't mention your motherboard no which is helpful to check how old your motherboard. No problem you must check if you have a
AGP slot,so u have use it by disable the built in one i recommend you GeForce4 FX 5200 128mb it runs most of the games...................................GOOD LUCK

Your best bet is to get more memory... if you can get 1g. That will be great. also try installing it on another computer to make sure that the software is good. Can you please tell us what the problem is or what kind of error you get
