My computer is 128 ram and 1.7 processor, it slow. Is possible to speed it up by changing the processor to 3

When my PC boots up (XP sp2), all goes well and the windows logo comes up....then the screen goes blank for about 1.5 minutes then the PC carries goes to the login screen and all is well

I was wondering what is happening whilst the screen is blank - and can I speed this up??

ok i saved up some money so when im going to THE USA!! im gonna buy a blackbook since my computer DIED.

My questionS are

Warranty information . when i buy my computer there can i buy warranty here to cover that or if i buy warranty there will it be covered here in australia.

Time regions . U noe with the time region thingy on all computers will i be able to select GMT time ?

POWER PLUG and MagSAFE.
Do i have to buy a transformer to change the electrcity setting thing or do i just buy the converter to put on the metal part .

I just recently bought a laptop and I was wondering , is it ok to leave it on power ..when im @ home? or does it damage the battery..do i let it charge and then use it and then recharge it when it needs to? like a cellphone? or its ok to leave it on power?

Yesterday my printer stopped printing. It goes through the motion but it does not print with any ink even when the cartridges are full. I have tried re-installing and installing the drivers again but still the same problem. Also tried hooking up another printer to my pc but still the same problem. Can anybody tell me what is wrong here, and how I can fix it.

I follow all the instructions to connect the hub phone to the homehub and when it says place phone in cradle attached to homehub, i do and nothing happens, a few blinks etc and it goes back to saying please registier your phone.
Yes i have followed all the steps and pressed the button on the back of the hub for 3 seconds to get it into wireless phone blinky mode. it just wont connect and register the phone,

Any ideas?

My computer is an Athlon XP 2400 with 1GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce2 MX video card.

I'm not into gaming but I do watch a fair amount of video. Is there any real reason for me to upgrade my video card? If so, what kind of expectations should I have for an improvement in video display.

Besides watching video, I also do some basic video editing and I do things in PhotoShop - though nothing real intense.

Hypothetical Example: someone owns a computer and they bought it way back in 1999. And maybe they have gotten a computer since then, but they don’t want to just waist a perfectly good computer, even if it is really old. Would it be possible (hypothetically) for this person to purchase a mother board, processor, hard drive, memory, ect. and create a modern computer using the old exterior to keep it in? How hard would something like that be for the average person? How hard would something like that be for the average person who could get a hold of an old friend who worked in the computer industry for several years?

Basically I’m a cheep guy and don’t support giving my money to billionaires, and it would be cool just to say I “built” my own computer kind-of.
How cool would that be; someone comes over and starts making fun of your computer because it looks old. But then you turn it on and it kicks butt.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I just purchased a HP printer, I didn't realize that the USB cable needed to be purchased seperately.

i have m7250n HP media center desktop PC. for some reason i was tryin to do recovery by pressing F10 command. Hi, my printer is not working.Its a BROTHER. Today i try to print my homework out but it doesnt print instead it says PLEASE OPEN COVER but i open it and nothing is wrong there is ink in it and paper. It was working fine before. i think that it is broken and i need to take it to someone that knows how to fix printers or its a paper jam. how do you know which one it is?

the mouse is installed
in device manager
i have intellipoint 6.1 on the machine
running windows 2k Server Ent Ed.

base will light up once u plug it in, if u reboot the pc it wont turn on when windows boots,
like i said it is installed and working in the mouse properties and the device manager.

the stashin will sync with the mouse

no matter what i do i cant get the friggin thing to work.
i know i had problems b4 but i cant figure it out,
plugin it in and out dont matter
rebootin wont matter

As I delete the copies more of them appear like 600 copies of each document. How can I stop these copies from multiplying? Please help.
