i want to buy a new laptpop but i dont know which is better out of the ones above, the hp has more memory and uses amd but the toshiba uses intel which is supposedly better.

I even went & bought new ones & I can hear some stacic. I checked to make sure they are plugged into everything correctly, and they are!! Is there some way to check my sound on my settings or something? I'm really frustrated, can somone help me figure out whats wrong?... it's probably something pretty simple, but I'm pretty new at the whole computer thing!! Thanks in advance!!

okay upon startup of my PC I get a total blue screen after, here is what it says;

then it says something like physical memory dump. I have more than 1,000RAM, so I do not belive its a memory issue. More than a month ago I installed a new video card, NVIDA GeForce 5200.....and just two days ago I had added an extra 512mb RAM, putting me over 1,000. How do you check to see if drivers are up to date? I did check to see if they are all working and it says no issues.........can anyone help?

I have a Compaq Presario and am accessing the internet through safe mode with networking.

I have a Emachine computer. It has onboard ATI Radeon Xpress 200. I tried TV cards on it. Both of them giving problems.
Once side of DVD input comes out green. I believe the problem is
not the TV cards. I believe it is the Xpress. How can i fix the problem?

I have noticed that on digitial copiers (either black/white or color) they can turn out good results when making a copy, but if you then take that same machine and scan your document in (such as in 300 dpi) the results are much degraded.

Does a digital copier use a different scanning technology for copies than when scanning to PC?

Im trying to reinstall windows 98se on my neighbors computer.
Ive done this several times in the past with little problems,
on my own computers. But on his im getting a message that
says corrupt cab cannot continue. I believe it is driver.cab
The other day i downloaded 98se and burned the iso to a
disc and i am getting the same message. So,im thinking maybe somethings wrong with the cdrom drive. Im about to get out the
drive and clean it by hand,but i dont like to open up computers if i
