The issue with most computers is moreso in what you want from the computer/company than any one being "better" than another. Most manufacturers buy their comonents from a handful of other companies and simply put them inside a case with their brand name on them. The differences come in where you decide what combinations of hardware and software you prefer, and what type of support you need from the company. Personally, I would go with whichever one has the highest specs for the least money. I have a preference for AMD based systems, but again, thats my choice. Another tech may just as easily say go for the Intel system. Neither is really "better" than the other. they just operate differently. The performance difference will depend on the type of applications you run and in either case, you probably won't be able to detect any difference through normal use (the differences in processing speeds are often measured in seconds or even milliseconds). So again, I reccomend going with whichever system has the best combination of hardware and warranty. I would personally go with the HP, but thats just looking at the additional hard drive space that system provides combined with the fact it has an AMD cpu.
