Here are a few suggestions you can try:

1. Update your video drivers to the latest version.

2. Update the drivers on your TV card to the latest version.

3. Check the manufacturers' websites and look in the support section for known issues.

4. Since onboard video uses system RAM, you can try reseating the memory stick(s) on your motherboard and see if that helps. Sometimes a loose memory stick can cause strange problems like this.

5. If it's an onboard video card problem with the hardware itself then try putting in an add-in card if possible. If the problem isolated to just the video portion and not the whole motherboard, then an add-in video card should take over all video functions and not rely on the onboard chipset to run at all. If there is no slot for an add-in card, then there's not much you can do if it's a problem with the graphics controller chip itself.

Other possibilities... Check to see if there are any special requirements for the TV card. Examples: Does desktop have to be in 32-bit color? Does it require a newer version of DirectX? Is there a function you need to disable in the ATI driver such as WMV acceleration? Do you have 3rd party codec software installed that may be conflicting when playing certain video formats?

Sorry, the pc is historical. The processor velocity is suitable, besides the undeniable fact that it somewhat is a celeron. The photographs card replaced into between the 1st to assist DirectX9 in 2d photographs. The memory is very low for even waiting for existence like overall performance working easy purposes. it would be positive for surfing the cyber web and playing solitare and a few easy video games yet not the rest. It does not benefit to enhance this pc in any respect as this is basically time to bury that one and start up buying for a sparkling one which you would be able to truly take exhilaration in worry loose for some years. I actual have a celeron 2.5 and that i gave it to the youngsters to play some very easy tutorial video games and its great for surfing the cyber web besides the undeniable fact that it won't take any 3-d video games with out freezing up. courses run very sluggish. it somewhat is with sparkling working device and all present day updates to abode windows XP SP2.
