i need a nice computer, it must be able to play counterstrike 1.6 and condition zero, you can check the system requirements for those on steampowered.com, also, it needs to be under $400 USD, also, it should be able to store alot of music, and preferably from amazon.com or pricegrabber.com, but NOT EBAY!!!!

Ok, I'm hardware stupid. Is there a program I need to use my webcam. I have an hp pavillion dv 6000t with a builtin webcam across the top of the monitor. I can't even figure out how to turn the thing on. All I want to use it for is kind of a camera, maybe like a mirror (like the girl from Devil Wears Prada). Do I need a specific type of software for this?

I have a laptop with a built in webcam facing me. I've seen people use theirs for a quick mirror check. How do I do this? I can't figure out how to turn the darn thing on let alone use it at all. I've never used a webcam before. Help!

I have a HP Pavillion DV6000 laptop with Windows XP Media Center edition. I hard reset the computer during a boot and now it won't start. I get the "Safe Mode, Normal Config, Last known good Config" screen, but none of the options work. The computer goes through the animated Windows XP Screen, but then flashes a nanosecond of blue screen of death with mysterious type and reboots to the BIOS screen and then to the "Safe Mode, Normal Config, Last known good Config" screen.

Linux and Quickplay boot fine, and I took the BIOS to the default config.

Do I have to reformat, or is there something I can do?

Thanks!

Our dell is broken. The CPU is clogged and the motherboard is damaged. It keeps shutting off saying that it is "due to a thermal event". Please explain the cost difference between the two options considering these following things:
-if we buy a new computer we would have to pay to have someone set up the networking and we would have to purchase anti-virus softwares.
- we also have no idea how much it costs to replace hardware because we are not sure to what extent the hardware needs to be replaced?

Could someone give us a minimum and maximum expected cost quote?
