Ok, I'm hardware stupid. Is there a program I need to use my webcam. I have an hp pavillion dv 6000t with a builtin webcam across the top of the monitor. I can't even figure out how to turn the thing on. All I want to use it for is kind of a camera, maybe like a mirror (like the girl from Devil Wears Prada). Do I need a specific type of software for this?

I've read the manual inside and out and I've allready looked at the artile from HP. Thanks though.

You must use Quickplay to record with the webcam. Are you running vista? I am having trouble sending a webcam clip attached to an email. I have video but no sound. Try this website to help explain how to use the webcam. Hope this helps!
