my neighbor tossed out an emachine computer & I'm wanting to know who to call for info about the puter...

Its the retail version of a Gateway. My suggestion is build your own and leave that one in the trash. I do have an e-machine and a few Gateways around the house from years past and they are both cheap machines. Check out the 800.00 budget build on this site.
