I have an HP PSC 1401 All in One printer, and everytime that I attempt to print only the first 2-3 lines come out. I have tried taking out the cartidge and placing them back in and nothing. The light for check print cartridge is not blinking so I am not sure what is going on.

Try running a print head cleaning, if the print appears faded or does not come out at all then your cartridges are empty or nearing empty. In that case you will need to replace the offending cartridge.

You may have a paper problem, too thick, not evenly set etc. Check it over carefully and has it run a test when you first changed cartridges? Also check to be sure the cartridges are not clogged.

Go in to printer setting's when you get ready to print .Sound's like your paper is'nt set to proper type paper,or thickness.Set paper setting in front of printer too if you have an adjustment for paper and envelope's.It will be a lever in front sometime's where paper come's out. Good luck.
