i have assembeled my computer with asus M2N-MX motherboard having integrated graphic[nvidia 6100/n430] .i installed 512MB RAM but on Computer but it shows as 384MB.what is the reason behind it?

Does it stand for speed of reading or writing? What is the exact technology behind the working of DVD/HDDVD/ Audio CD,Video CD's and how could i copy Mp3 songs on CD having good quality?I copied Mp3 songs with usual burning data on CD but the quality of songs is not good.Where can i get detailed information regarding it?

It woke me up. I already know I'm a novice about pcs. Any help, thanks. And why doesn't spell check work on 2. Add details (optional)? I know, not enough information and probably could be a million reasons. I did get some msg. about a missing something file? and I just automatically hit ok before I was awake good.

The printer is on a network, and has a recurring job. The computer that sent the job isn't sending any jobs to it, but the job keeps printing. Anyone experience this problem before? any ideas or solutions? thanks!

It also says the specified domain does not exist. I have tried everything. safe mode, recovery disk (which won't load, even though I changed the boot order) All is does it when you click ok it re boots and the process starts all over again. I know its a virus I don't need an explaination about that. I can not get to windows desktop to run a virus check nothing. Any help please?

I am getting conflicting information. One PC Repair guy states that caused more damage, but another states that alcohol is best because it leaves no residue unlike soap and water. Who is right? It's not functioning right now.

My dog knocked my desk over, and my lap top has been running extra slowly since that time. Also the audio has gone out of whack. It will work from time to time. Seems to be in conjunction with when she's running extra slow. Nothing else is wrong that I am aware of, but I'm at a loss for what to do.

I have a corrupt drive running as a slave on another windows xp system. Windows tells me it is corrupt, and won't let me access it.

All I want to do is access the drive in read only mode, to see what I can get off it. Later, I will reformat, and rebuild.

I dont know much about computers but I will tell ya what I know. My computer said something about a site being risky or something and everything froze and the fan came on and has not turned off in like 20 minutes. The keyboard and monitor sit on the hard drive and stuff and that is where the battery is and my brother rigged something on there so I could charge both pieces at the same time so I cant get it apart to take the battery out but my computer wont turn off or anything.

I would really like a fresh start with my computer, it has been infected by a couple of viruses/malwares in the recent past, and I am afraid to go back to doing online banking, etc. on it. I haven't changed much on this pc since I bought it, so I think formatting the drives is not that big a deal for me. However, I heard that formatting your drives doesn't really wipe them clean, and that the original data is still retrievable. What can I do to REALLY erase everything and start all over?
