Virus occur when dummy download something with virus!

VIRUS is nothing but a program & that's why it has acertain effect on the PCs. Every virus has a definition & that's why it os a perfectly working software program which any virus creater can put on the net.
Once u r attached to the internet connections... anything which u download, access or do anything may attract virus to get in to ur PC, floppy, cd or any storage devices for that matter.
Once u trasmit the same to the other system, it is affected with a virus...
that's it.
What is an antivirus?
Again, a s/w program which makes the virus not to work & rather stop to work.
That's it.

They are programs like any aplication but it's execution corrupt the systems different important functions. It is sent to you via email or CDs or Floppies or by hiding in a BMP file or simply by accessing your machine after port scanning. Last method is serious but the good news is this that it can be done only on computer who's IP is fixed means in broadband connections or above. In dial up IP changes each time you log in.

Computer viruses never occur "naturally"; they are always man-made. Once created and released, however, their spread is not usually under direct human control.
In other words... they make it them selfs
some are made with 1s and 0s like..

Some 1 and 0 can be codes for something even barcodes

unsafe webbrowsing and careless way of transferring datas frm external devices such as CDs DVDs pendrives etc...
always have potent antivirus, that will let u know as virus comes and will also let u know the source
