My dog knocked my desk over, and my lap top has been running extra slowly since that time. Also the audio has gone out of whack. It will work from time to time. Seems to be in conjunction with when she's running extra slow. Nothing else is wrong that I am aware of, but I'm at a loss for what to do.

Most warranties just cover manufacter's defects.
Unless you buy accidental damage, they will not fix it for you.

Unless you feel comfortable checking memory modules and stuff like that, I would recommend you take it to the local shop or Best Buy so they can look at it.

Well if its still under warranty you could get it fixed up. However it seems like it isnt so i might recommend a new laptop or getting it fixed by a techinician. There is nothing you can do yourself to fix it. I recommend storing all your files on a USB or storage device. You dont want to loose everything if one day it just never works again.

There is a strong possibility that the fall may have knocked a expansion card loose in your laptop. If you feel comfortable taking it apart you can check for loose connections. This is not for the timid as most of us would not tear into a laptop. I recommend taking it to a shop.

I dropped my laptop also and it ran slow...Your Hard Drive might give out soon so I would suggest that you backup your files before it happens...After I tried to Restore the computer from scratch is when it did give up on me...There went a good 40GB Hard Drive...

Try your warranty. Just don't tell them what happened.
