I have to use a propritary wireless card (SBC DSL encripted card) in the cardslot, so that devise that gives you a 2.0 usb port that plugs into the card slot won't work unless I can find a way to hook up 2 cards into the one slot. Can my current usb ports be converted using only software, or do I need to install new hardware as well?

The girl I replaced at my work had downloaded a bunch of crap to the office computer. Upon leaving my boss decided to clean it all off. In the process he accidently deleted the volume. Now I have no idea how he did it. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix it? I've tried reinstalling drivers, I've tried many many things to no avail. Any help would be great!

I have problem with installing new ram, If I install my extra 2gb the computer starts but does a long bleep every couple of seconds and wont continue? I have 2gb installed already.

Com spec:

AMD Fx64 cpu
Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G motherboard
Ati X1900xtx graphic card
OCZ pc2 8000 duel channel (2 sticks installed 2gb)
720 watt psu
Windows XP home eddition

The two memory sticks it wont accept are exactly the same as the ones already installed..

I built the computer myself but i'm unable to solve this problem!!

So, i had an awful virus on my computer. I formatted the whole thing! When I reboot it says insert system disk. I have my windows cd - but it won't except that. I tried to download my backup files to a disk but thet are too large. Please help!

My laptop is a Dell, I know that it has USB ports but unfortunately I'm not certain of what else. It's pretty 'standard' and is about 1.5 years old. to help get an idea of it. The TV I'm looking to hook it up to is as follows:

Hi everyone, would appreciated if someone can answer my doubt.

The PS2 to USB converter in question are those that can allow an USB mouse to be used on a PS2 port on a PC. I tried plugging in my thumbdrive into the converter, and the thumbdrive would not work. Anyone can provide technical answer to proof it will not work is very much welcomed. If u actually made the thumbdrive work using the converter, please tell me too. Is it possible at all?

I just bought a Sony DRX830U DVD writer (capable of burning DVDs and CDs). I have tried for 3 days and have not been able to burn one CD-R, although I have been able to burn 2 CD-RWs. I keep getting a "cannot perform end of track error." I have tried different brands of media, reduced the burning speed, uninstalled and re-installed Nero, upgraded the firmware, and checked the settings. The only thing the firmware upgrade did is that now my burner can't even detect when a CD-RW is in the drive - and I still can't burn a CD-R! I don't think I will bother trying DVD burning at this point.

What does the error message mean? Can I finally say that the burner is defective? My computer has the minimum requirements for the burner, so what could be the problem? I don't want to get another burner just to go through the same problems again.
