the easiest way would be to get an external enclosure from ebay and hook it up by usb or firewire... putting it inside can be done, but to be honest isn't worth the hassle....

Adaptors from laptop drives to IDE are available but tend to be difficult to get hold of. They are completely passive and you simply plug your drive in one end and your IDE and power cable in the other. Also you are going to need a plastic block to secure the drive and the adaptor inside the tower.

with an adapter, yes, but why? The power level and adapter have to be compatible with the laptop drive.....look around for the adapter....they also have external enclosures that hookup via usb, turning your laptop drive into an external hard drive.
