you need to replace your battery. what does this mean? do i need to replace this if i want to use it w/o a charger? i have a Dell laptop if that helps...

hi im trying to format my (toshiba sp4600 LAPTOP) with the copy of windows xp service pack 2 that i put on it in the first place only because the usb ports wont accept my usb modem and other things however when i press F2 at the beginning of bootup and press c to boot from cd rom it then asks me for another command and i dont know what it is please help unless theres another way to format my laptop ---- the command i get is /boot> what comes next

Lexplore will now close. It happens constantly and i don't know why or how to repair this....Any ideas? I saw under my systems directory, i have 5 kernel32.dll files. operating the windows ME, i would appreciate any help on this! Thank You!

I just got back from a free consultation and was told it would cost nme $980.00 just in attorneys fees plus a 299.00 filing fee.I cant come up with that much money! There is a great deal on a laptop at Fry's electronics with an 333mhz AMD Turion 64 processor and I'm wondering if it's a good computer or not. I usually only trust anything Intel Pentium but I have been in the market for a laptop for so long and am anxious to find one. With laptops being so expensive nowadays I want to get my money's worth and not pay over $1200 for one that I most likely won't use all the bells and whistles too. I mainly want a laptop for portability, to access the internet and to do some minor word processing. Email me with possibilities. Thanks.

My monitor has a few USB ports on it that I would like to use. But when I plug things into it (camera, etc), the "New Hardware Found" message doesn't pop up. I've tried several different accessories. Do I need to change setting anywhere? Anyone know? Thank you!

Well, yes. I installed a game on my computer today and was confused to see that there was a new drive [H:] created automatically in this process ?

The H drive has also got the game's name and shows 52KB of memory without any disk in it !

I have a an old HP laserjet 1100 printer, and a very new HP laptop, and unfortunately I don't have a 25 pin parallel socket on the laptop, so I therefore can't connect my printer.

I also bought a USB to parallel cable, thinking I could just connect it to a USB port, but the socket on the printer seems old and strange, and it won't connect to the typical parallel cable.

I'm in San Diego and Radio Shack couldn't help me as they only had the same USB/parallel cable which I already have.

How else can I connect a 25 pin parallel cable onto my new laptop, so I can print?

I have a 3.0 intel 4 ht processor, 2 gb of 3200 RAM, and a 9250 256kb ati vid card (pci): I think my graphics should run more smoothly than they are running. Winamps visualizations run choppy, even with resolution set low, most games run poorly, some games like "Scarface" are unplayable.Is it time to go duo core or do you think I have a setting messed up somewhere.

My GX150 has one 256 MB memory stick. If I add another 256 MB memory stick from a different brand/manufacturer, will the compter become slower or unstable than I replace two memory sticks of same brand/manufacturer?
