How likely is it for someone to break off a laptop lock?

It seems secure enough, I tugged at it to test it, recently though I found a crack in the outside of slot containing the lock,
can it be pulled off if someone apllies enough force?

I wont trust it by itself and anyone can break into anything if they want it bad enough.
