I own a Dell E1505, owned less than a year, I turn on the computer, but it will not boot, stalls with a screen message PD2...Done. Not exacly computer literate, so please use easy to understand answers if you can help.

I have no idea how I came to block my password but nothing will allow me to get it working again, all I get now is a small pad lock in the top left hand corner with a diagonal line running through it. Help !!!

Okay on the computer I have a karaoke microphone that goes into my keyboard (piano), so can that microphone fit into my computer and if I was to sing on it will it be able to be recorded on the computer if so how will I go about doing that. And if that microphone can go in my computer where will it go on the computer on the badck, on the monitor on the back, where at?

When I try to open it.. The System tells me "Please insert a disk into drive G:"... I tried many things.. in Disk Management the flash drive appears in the list below "Unreadable"... I tried "Kill Disk" tool and I cannot format it under DOS "FDISK"... I tried to format it under Win XP but the system didn't make any response.... Recently I purchased a Toshiba Equium A60-155 Laptop from a friend and the wireless does not work, I know for sure it has wireless but I don't know how to get it working. The FN+Wireless icon key does not work and i cannot find the software on the system.

Also the pricing and link to a new monitor for it would be greatly appreciated as this one is smashed.

I've put in almost every game I own and nothing works. My comp doesn't even know that something is in it. I've restarted it, I've gone to Explore from the Start menu and looked under the D: drive (still, it shows nothing), and I've even gone on Task manager and tried to see if any unusual tasks were running. It's not hooked up to the internet, so it doesn't have a virus. And when I put a CD in, I can hear it spinning and everything. But a few seconds later it stops and nothing happens. I really don't want to have to take it in to fix it, because that would be a pain and I don't have that much money. Any ideas on how to fix it?

My computer has been making a loud humming noise, I checked all the fans, and made sure there were no cds spinning, But it definetly sounds like it is coming from the Heat sink. I was wondering if i can disconnect the heat sink and start up the computer to see for sure if this is the problem.

I came across an old spare hard drive, so i hooked it up on my computer to see how much storage capacity it had. It had a lousy 500 mb. So i reinstalled my original one that had alot of my media files (approx 200), but now i can only find about 27 of them??? I did a search for all media files, but no luck. Is there anything i can do to get them back? How?

My computer is really slow. It has 512mb of ram, 80gb hard drive, and amd sempo\ron 3000+ precessor. I scaned it with ad-aware and spybot s & d and deleted all infections but it is still slow. I also defragmented and clean hard drive but still slow. WHat should I do to speed it up?

How do i get more cables for new cd drives? (I only have the 2 filled sockets in my motherboard)

not only would i like to know of a store in the u.s. that sells knoppix,but also,if they deal via snail mail;and if knoppix is compatible with yahoo.(knoppix is linux distro,booting from the cd rom drive).it is said to be very user friendly.no hard drive space is used. We got our computer in 2001. Emachines Model T2482, 254mbRAM (Emachines lied said 256mb), 80gb hd, 10/100mb broadband w/ aol


So here's the story: Our computer has always been slow but we got used to it and it became normal to us. In August our warranty was about to wear out. We thought we would take it down to Best Buy (where our warranty was from) and it would come back the speed of lightning- everything fixed. Abouta month later we got it back and it was slow as crap. They told us we had to have Norton and SpySweeper on it. We payed 100 smackers for it. Spy sweeper doesn't work, it freezes up. Norton does. Also it has a mind of it's own. I't likes to shut off the mouses PS/2 port and make the cursor dart all over the screen. We shut it down about once or twice a day because it freezes up. What is wrong. Norton says we don't have a virus. MS employees and other people PLEASE HELP!

I mean, how often does anyone need to carry 8 GB of data around? You can get them all the way up to 64 GB; but at $2800 it's hard to imagine who would use that.
