I just bought a new hard drive for my Dell Dimension Desktop B110. I can't copy my current hard drive to anywhere else on the computer (D drive cannot be formatted). Can I copy all of the files to a floppy disk, a CD or some other way than backing it up on the computer?

I have a Dell Latitude laptop(kinda old, like 5 years) and I got locked out of my administrator account. IT only has Windows 2000 on it and i have a disc for Windows XP. Now it is asking for my password for my administrator account (the only account i have on it) when i turn it on. Is there any way that i can skip the password or not have to enter a password to get on or like hack into it? Will it help if I put the Windows XP disc? Please help! PLEASESEEEE!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!

Installed new ink cartridge. Was printing fine before running out of ink. Don't want to add to the pile of e-garbage. The green drum that says do not touch...the teck touched. Can that make it malfunction?

I have a Dell Dimension 4700C. The warranty has ran out and I'm a poor seminary student, so I can't pay to get it fixed.
Problem: I turned it off durning a lightning strom, but I did so in a hurry by unpluging it. When I pluged it back in it would turn on. I tried pressing the on button several times, but it wouldn't come back on. The power source is good, the plug is good, so the computer is the problem.

Do you know of any materials that might show me how to fix this computer. Websites, ebooks, books, specifically geared towards this problem and this computer. Please help!!!

i have seen that if i defrag c: partition from the windows xp (fat32 file system) which is installed on c:, then its quite slow process. i have windows 98 SE (also on fat32) on d:. i want to ask is it safe to defrag c: from windows 98 (which boots from d:) and to defrag d: from windows xp (which boots from c:) in terms of boot sectors or any boot records etc

basically i am asking can i defrag two OSes from each other. and will it be safe? will it be faster than defraging partitions from their own OSes?

i have read somewhere that we should not format a hard disk too often. i believe that since flash memory based drives are solid state with no moving parts, all the flip flops or the memory cell units in it are equal and all are purely solid state so i believe that no matter how many times we format a flash memory based drive, there should be no damage cause to it whatsoever

16 bit is approximately 16 million colours and 32 bit is approximately 32 million colours, is this correct?

Also is it true in a 16bit picture there can be 256 shades of red, 256 shades of green, and 256 shades of blue (RGB)? Does that mean 32 bit would have something like 317 per RGB colour?

i'm looking for a fan that is 12X12 C.M. width dosen't matter it has to have 3 wires (1 to detect speed) runs on 12Vdc. (13Vdcmax)
The highest CFM I found is 125 took hours to find that, but i want something higher.
I can also do something else besides 12V, but i really want 12V

I have a Dell Computer that fairly new. Im a big Sims2 Fan, and with the announcement of seasons, i realize that i need to do some manteince on the coputer. The sims take up HUGE amounts of memory. In order to install the next expansion pack and have a run semi-nicely, I need to add memory. I went online and it say "i have to buy the memory in pairs". What exactly does that mean (do i need to buy 2, or do I need to buy another 512KB's memory to match what i already have?)
any tips and places you recoomend to find memory is greatly appreciated. thank you

Hello There
I have a PC computer and I would like to put a video I made on my computer to a DVD. I dont have a DVD burner though. I have seen DVD burners for sale on the internet and I was wondering if I could get a burner and somehow add it to my computer. If I could do that then how? or where should I go to add it?
